When to Call 911

Dial 911 only for life-threatening emergencies, medical crises, fires, or crimes in progress. For cold reports (crimes that have already occurred where the suspect is gone), please use the Non-Emergency Dispatch line to keep emergency frequencies clear.

Patrol Operations

Our patrol division operates 24/7, providing traffic enforcement, welfare checks, and rapid response to active incidents within city limits.

Records & Fingerprinting

Request public incident records or schedule an appointment for digital fingerprinting required for employment or licensing.

Common Local Ordinances & FAQs

To help citizens remain compliant and avoid citations, please review the following frequently asked local regulations:

  • Golf Carts on City Streets: Per Texas state law and municipal ordinance, golf carts may only be operated on public roads with a speed limit of 35 MPH or less. The driver must have a valid driver’s license, and the cart must have a slow-moving vehicle emblem.
  • Juvenile Curfew: Minors under the age of 17 are prohibited from remaining in public places or city streets between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM on weekdays, and midnight to 6:00 AM on weekends, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Noise Ordinances: Quiet hours are enforced between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Unreasonable noise that disturbs the peace across property lines may result in a citation.
