New to De Kalb? Your Resident Checklist
If you have recently moved within city limits, ensure you complete the following administrative requirements within your first 30 days:
- Establish Water Service: Visit City Hall with your lease agreement or closing documents and a valid ID to set up municipal water, sewer, and sanitation services.
- Register Your Pets: Bring your updated rabies vaccination certificates to the Animal Control office or City Hall to receive your city tags.
- Update Your Address: If you are renovating your new home, check the Permits section to ensure all contractors are legally registered to operate in De Kalb.
